Guest guest
Hi folks: And now for something completely different: We previously discussed a paper which concluded that in the US likely 100,000 deaths annually result from medical mistakes. It seems there are about 800,000 physicians practising in the US. This means that on average each physician makes a fatal mistake about once every eight years. And, assuming a working life of 40 years, a career average of five fatal errors. Of course some specialities will be more susceptible to mistakes than others. Based on my personal experience with 'the system' here on the two occasions I was in dire need of their expertise, I can well believe those numbers! It is an argument for doing all one can to avoid the need for medical treatment. Of course this is yet another risk CRON can help reduce, in addition to the other benefits we regularly talk about here. Rodney.
