Guest guest
hi gina u turn it ? iv never been told to d this dose it help dose it hurt ?  lauramechelle From: Geary <gina.g@...> Subject: RE: supra pubic catheter Date: Wednesday, 17 December, 2008, 8:41 PM Yeah, me yesterday! Bloody ouch, DN and my other half pulled it out, bloody and sore as **** still. But, I’ve had this a few times now, and the soreness goes in a couple of days. Don’t get suckered into to going to A & E, they just pull harder and care less. It will come out, try not to panic. We inflated the balloon a little after draining it, and then just pulled – it looked liked the balloon had creased up when deflated, but I think it may not be a good batch as I checked through the stickers the DN leaves on the notes each change, and the same code messed up twice – threw the other with the same batch number in the bin damn fast! I find Buscapan helps reduce the bladder cramping a little, and can help if taken when I feel a bit crampy. If you want to talk, mail me your number privately – I really hope you are OK. I tried different diet approaches, and now have it changed every 2 months instead of three, but to be honest, yesterdays was at the 6 week mark as I didn’t want to mess around over the holidays. Make sure you give a good turn each day though, really thoroughly – and drink tons x From: @gro ups.com [mailto:@gro ups.com] On Behalf Of as if Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2008 5:17 PM @gro ups.com Subject: supra pubic catheter hi i was to get my supra pubic catheter changed today and the nurse couldnt get it out has any one had problims with this befor ??? thanks lauramechelle
Guest guest
Hi there -- yes, just make sure the entire catheter turns. It doesn't hurt, and as long as you do it at least once a day, it keeps it from healing and any initial discomfort from turning soon disappears. If you can send me your e-mail address I will write to you privately about this (unless anybody else is interested!) -- have you tried changing it again yet? x From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of as if Sent: Friday, December 19, 2008 2:37 PM Subject: RE: supra pubic catheter gina hi gina u turn it ? iv never been told to d this dose it help dose it hurt ? lauramechelle From: Geary <gina.g@... <mailto:gina.g%40ukonline.co.uk> > Subject: RE: supra pubic catheter <mailto:%40> Date: Wednesday, 17 December, 2008, 8:41 PM Yeah, me yesterday!
