Guest guest
Happiness is certainly an issue - it pertains to stress, hypertension, psych things. But some people all over seem to find it, lacking divorce, death, layoffs - the big 3 stresses. I notice everyone carries a cell phone and I'm sure we'll hear about associations with that in the future, but relieving stress for me is simple - I just don't accept stress. If the world's coming to an end - so what? I realize that most of the things I don't like, I can do nothing about. Most problems are too massive for me to fix - like the crap on the beach washed up from maybe hundreds/thousands of miles away. I think I might mow the grass today, or tomorrow. Regards Re: [ ] Re: Iceland men live long I can only tell you that its' reputation is not that of a Shangri-La. And that the author of the book I cited found the environment non-inviting, although the people were friendly. Perhaps the web description is overblown to attract more visitors? I have never been there and I suspect most world travelers don't put it on their itinerary. (I have many friends who travel the world and I have yet to hear that any went to Iceland). But the larger, more important issue is that Icelanders drink a lot and yet live long - long enough to be notedwothy. And are among the world's happiest people.
