Guest guest
Do you think they might let us sneak a peek at their VSD data? I'm gonna hold my breath until they do. Starting right now! Kaiser to open autism center in Rancho Cordova http://sacramento.bizjournals.com/sacramento/stories/2006/06/26/daily29.html Kaiser to open autism center in Rancho Cordova Sacramento Business Journal - 3:36 PM PDT Wednesday by Kathy on Staff writer Kaiser Permanente will open an autism center at its medical office complex in Rancho Cordova on Thursday, the first local center besides the MIND Institute at UC to provide comprehensive services to young patients with the disorder and their families. The Oakland-based HMO and health system has 1,200 children and adolescents among their membership in Greater Sacramento who have been diagnosed with autism-related disorders. A largely misunderstood developmental disorder, autism typically appears in the first years of life and affects an individual's ability to communicate, form relationships and respond appropriately to the environment. The new center is housed in a renovated 2,000-square-foot section of Kaiser's medical office at 10725 International Drive in Rancho Cordova. It will house a multidisciplinary team of health professionals who will evaluate and diagnose children, and develop individual treatment plans covering all aspects of care. "Patients can range from having very low-functioning severe mental retardation autism to high-functioning Asperger's Syndrome," said Dr. Fawzia Ashar, a child and adolescent psychiatrist and medical director of the new center. "It's very important that children be diagnosed as early as possible so we can provide critical intervention and education services." Kathy Lelevier, chief administrative officer at the MIND Institute at UC welcomes the center. "As an HMO that provides services to their own clients, this will give Kaiser patients access to needed assessment and treatment," Lelevier said. "There is such a great need and we are not able to accommodate all patients." The MIND Institute logs about 3,200 clinical patient visits a year and another 3,500 through research projects. Guest guest
What's really insane is most all vaccine safety research was/is conducted against placebos that contain thimerosal. I found it most disturbing that medical placebos can in many cases contain thimerosal. It's a way of masking the ill-effects of thimerosal-containing vaccines? I don't know. So basically the question is how many thousands of Offit's safety pamplets need to find the circular file? Depending upon how many of the studies backed a TCV against a TCP Offit may very well be completely empty handed. And they continue to claim safety based on an ethylmercury safe exposure level that doesn't even exist!
