Hi folks:

I see that the paper I am about to reference has been posted here

previously, and commented on also, even by myself! But I clearly

did not read the full text at the time, because if I had I would

have been jumping up and down about it!

The abstract is in the earlier post below, as provided by our

prolific supplier of interesting studies, Al Pater. Thank you,

Al : ^ )))

However, imo the full text is many multiples of times more

interesting than the abstract because it shows what Luigi Fontana

believes may be appropriate biomarkers to aim for when doing CRON.

Here are some of the numbers Dr. Fontana lists in this paper:

In US units and in metric units:

------------ ----- ------------

BP : <115/75 ---- <115/75

LDL: - 50-70 ---- 1·3-1·8

FBG: --- 75 ------ 4.2

BMI: -- ~20 ------ ~20

BF%: -- ~10% ----- ~10% (males)

BF%: -- ~20% ----- ~20% (females)

If those numbers are appropriate for me, I have somewhat further to

go on four of those five measures.

But of course this remains a far from precise, or fully understood,

science. No one knows what the optimal degree of CRON is. So we

each have to review the evidence and draw our own conclusions as to

what may be appropriate in our particular circumstance.

*****It is often repeated here that there may be risks inherent in

overdoing CRON, especially for those of a more advanced age.*****

The full text can be accessed for free at the link below, and (fwiw)

I think everyone would benefit from reading it.
