Guest guest
Jeff, The interesting thing (to me) is that our experience practicing CRON, your experience as a naturally thin person and mine as the proud owner of the " thifty gene " , makes it appear that humans respond to CRON just as mice do. I understand that much more data would be needed to scientifically establish the relationship, but it is interesting. Thin mice get " razor " thin on CRON. Ob/ob mice get to a normal weight or even stay somewhat obese with the same level of restriction. Both types are more healthy and live far longer than normally fed mice. If naturally thin and naturally fat humans repond to CRON in the same way as naturally fat and thin mice, then doesn't that strengthen the argument that humans, like mice, are also likely to see the same sort of life extension and resistance to chronic disease? Would be great to see some research in this area. I haven't seen any, has anyone else? > > > > It is my opinion that if someone is already lean, unless they are > engaging in an enormous amount of exercise, then they are already > practicing CR to some degree or more.
