Guest guest
Hi, I just wanted to update everyone on a few media related items. I am doing a live radio interview today at 2PM EDT with a station in Hawaii about that state’s Hg ban bill, on KHVH Talk radio Next Thursday, June 22, at 8:06AM PDT, I will be on a taped interview with The Bill Handel Show on KFI AM Radio in LA. It is the biggest morning radio show in Southern California. The interview was very good, though we spent a lot of time talking about the economics of Hg free vaccines. Still, this allowed me to make the point that, if thimerosal turns out to be a cause of autism, then $4 more per shot is a lot more economical than millions of dollars for the lifetime care of an autistic person. And, I am going to Fort Worth this weekend for the Investigative Reporters and Editors conference, where I will be presented with the award for EOH on Saturday. On Friday, I am speaking on a panel, aptly called, “When science goes wrong: Investigations into vaccines and drugs,” along with Halsne of KIRO-Seattle. There will be a book signing afterwards. St. ’s Press is also shipping paperbacks out to Texas for me to personally give to a number of top reporters at the conference. They include Grimaldi, of the Washington Post. He headed up the selection committee, and raved about EOH. Grimaldi just won the Pulitzer Prize for his work on the Jack Abramoff scandal. Other reporters include Dana Priest, also of the Washington Post, who won the Pulitzer for exposing the secret US torture procedures, Esposito of ABC News, Bob Drogin of the LA Times, and many others. I hope to speak with as many reporters as I can about covering the thimerosal controversy. For anyone in the DFW area who might want to attend, the awards luncheon on Saturday is open to the public (though it does cost $40). It would be a good opportunity for local parents to speak with the very best investigative reporters in America.
