Guest guest
While I certainly support and commend the efforts of A-Champ (and other organizations)on the many issues that they've personally initiated and worked on, I'd like to make one clarification regarding the " Maloney/Olmsted " legislation... Mark Blaxill is the individual who drafted the initial legislation for this bill...he worked very closely with Ben (from Maloney's office) over several weeks and I believe the actual bill that was submitted had only a few minor changes made to it... I know that Mark would NEVER " step in " to clear this up because quite frankly, that's not his style.... However, being a good friend of his and personally knowing all the " sacrifices " that he has made (and continues to make) on behalf of all our children, I just wanted to " set the record straight " and to publicly thank him for all his hard work on behalf of our children!! Thanks Mark :-) Kelli > > The local/state impact of A-champ and the efforts of Gilmore, Krakow, Bobbie Manning, etc., coupled with the Weldon/Maloney legislation (vaccine safety) and the Maloney/Olmsted legislation (ferreting out the reality in vaccines) are extremely important pieces in this puzzle. This work should be highly commended. > > > > Spectrum Magazine articles & NAA > > > > Maximom offered: > > Weldon, Maloney Introduce Vaccine Safety Bill > Measure Removes CDC’s Conflict of Interest; Helps Preserve Public Confidence in Vaccine Safety Research > > " Weldon and Maloney were joined by several groups advocating vaccine safety reform, including the National Autism Association, A- Champs, and safeMINDS. According to the National Autism Association, “This landmark legislation will provide critical government agency oversight and implementation of vaccine safety research, which has not kept pace with the rise in the number of vaccines routinely prescribed to consumers including pregnant women and young children.†> > I fully understand that Autism Speaks, CAN and other " major " autism organizations have made the CAA their highest priority. However, I think the NAA should be commended for having the organizational courage to publicly support both, the CAA and Weldon/Maloney legislation. >
