Guest guest
I find some people are actually proud of the fact that they’re not health conscious. I just came back from a visit to the local market where I asked the manager why they stopped carrying a healthy produce item (broccoli sprouts). While explaining, he smiled and patted his ample mid section and said “As you can see, I’m not “up” on these things.....”. Odd isn't it that people who make an effort to preserve their health by implementing in their own lives the information leading edge science is yielding, should be considered ripe as a target for 'ridicule'. Even though this article, I thought, was more moderate than most. And I certainly found it to be 'entertaining'. IMO it says more about those writing the articles - or probably more accurately their editors - than it does about people on CR. Rodney. > > Hmm. As well as writing about food, Giles Coren is a humorous writer for The Times, here he appears to have combined the two.
