I FOUND A GREAT SPRAY FAN AT WAL-MART IN THE FAN SECTION FOR $5.WE WILL RALLY RAIN OR SHINE. SO YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER BRINGING UMBRELLAS/RAINCOATS. UMBRELLAS WILL ALSO SHADE YOU FROM THE SUN.BRING A RALLY POSTER IF YOU CAN. PICTURES OF YOUR CHILDREN WITH THE SIMPLE PHASE, "MERCURY POISONED" WOULD BE GREAT. THE CREATIVE RALLY POSTERS ARE ALWAYS GREAT AND SPEAK VOLUMES. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING ANY PROFANITY ON YOUR POSTER.I KNOW SOME HAVE JOKINGLY SAID, "HOPE WE DON'T GET ARRESTED." WE DO NOT PLAN ON GETTING ARRESTED BECAUSE WE WILL NOT BE GIVING THE POLICE ANY REASON TO ARREST US. WE HAVE NEVER IN THE PAST HAD PROBLEMS, BUT JUST WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THIS IS A PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION. I KNOW SOME WILL BE BRINGING THEIR OLDER CHILDREN AND ARE CONCERNED ABOUT BEHAVIOR. THE ONLY BEHAVIORS WE ARE CONCERNED WITH ARE ANY THAT WILL PUT A CHILD AT DANGER. Parents From Across The Country Unite To Protest At The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC)

Atlanta, GA - Parents will travel across the country to unite together to hold a protest at the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The failure of the CDC to come clean on their cover up of the dangers of mercury in vaccines has united parents of vaccine/mercury injured children to let the CDC know their practice of malfeasance will no longer be tolerated.

This protest coincides with the annual Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices (ACIP) meeting which discusses the future vaccination plan, new vaccines, and studies of vaccines that have caused harm.

June is the anniversary of a closed door secret meeting held by the CDC in the year 2000, in Simpsonwood, Georgia, after the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended in 1999 the removal of thimerosal, a mercury based preservative, from all childhood vaccines.

Through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, Safeminds, a non-profit organization which supports research on the potential harmful effects of mercury and thimerosal, was able to obtain the meeting transcript which clearly indicated that the CDC recognized the serious danger of the continued use of thimerosal/mercury in vaccines, even through their own study, however, did not want to disclose this information to the public and allowed the continued use of thimerosal to be injected into infants and children by consistently manipulating their own data.

"....let me just re-emphasize, if I could, the importance of trying to protect the information that we have been talking about. As many of you know, we are invited here. We have asked you to keep this information confidential." Dr. Bernier, page 113, Simpsonwood meeting transcript.

"....we have found statistically significant relationships between the exposure and outcomes for these different exposures and outcomes. First, for two months of age, an unspecified developmental delay, which has its own specific ICD9 code. Exposure at three months of age, Tics. Exposure at six months of age, an attention deficit disorder. Exposure at one, three, and six months of age, language and speech delays which are two separate ICD9 codes. Exposures at one, three, and six months of age, the entire category of neurodevelopmental delays, which includes all of these plus a number of other disorders." Dr. Verstraeten, a CDC Epidemiologist, used the CDC's internal database, the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD), for their own study which showed a statistically significant relationship between the amount of mercury children were receiving through vaccines and neurological disorders. No matter how he tried to run the numbers, he wrote, the association "just won't go away".

Many private, independent researchers have been denied access to the VSD to conduct their own studies. The only private researchers able to receive access had tremendous difficulty in doing so and their research uncovered the same horrifying results as Dr. Verstraeten's original study.

Many countries have banned the use of thimerosal because of the devastating effects it has on children and adults alike. Eight states in this country have passed legislation that bans the use of thimerosal containing vaccines, with 25 other states working on getting similar legislation passed.

In planning for the June 29th protest, Simpsonwood participants and CDC officials including Dr. Gerberding, were formally invited to join these parents and hold a scientific forum to discuss thimerosal and why they covered up their findings of its dangers. A scientific panel was formed to publicly ask questions of the CDC on behalf of parents with thimerosal injured children and discuss their own findings of the causation of thimerosal and neurological disorders, however, all invited either declined to come, or simply did not respond to the formal invitation.

This group of parents lost their meeting space, and continually were denied when trying to rent additional space for a scientific forum with the explanation that they did not want to loose the business of the CDC if they allowed a scientific forum on mercury in vaccines at their establishments.

"Why are they afraid to talk to us? What else do they have to hide? It is time they stopped giving the public a false sense of security when it comes to mercury in our vaccines. They keep saying mercury is out of the vaccines, but if you take a look at many vaccine inserts, mercury is still listed as an ingredient. The lying has to stop and it has to stop now," says Leann Henkel, mom of a vaccine/mercury injured child.

"Imagine how many children could have been saved from the devastating effects of a heavy metal poisoning if they just told the truth," she adds.

Moms Against Mercury will lead parents on a protest at the CDC at 1600 Clifton Road, on Thursday, June 29, 2006, starting at 6:30am. A press conference will follow at 9:30am.

Speakers include the only independent researchers to gain access to the VSD.

Be careful about freezing plastic water

bottles too much. Freezing them can release the chemicals from the

plastic into the water same if you heat them. It’s better to have

them in ice. Just a suggestion. -

great idea- freezing bottles of water and then putting them in a

cooler. I do that all the time when I have events to shoot and they take

up the whole day. Just make sure to have 1 bottle not frozen- because

sometimes- it takes all day to melt. And all you will have is ice to

drink- which doesn't work well

Also, for me, some type of Gateraid or sports drink- really helps me on those

superhot days. I only drink that stuff when it's so hot you think

you're going to pass out. But, it works.

don't forget too- wear light colors and bring sunscreen (even for your lips).

The first time I visited Virginia,

I got a bad sunburn, because I was used to the NY sun. Down south- it's a

lot stronger.

AND--- bring your cell phone charger (which I think is the most forgotton item

on the planet-lol)
