He was 72, which is bad enough, but he wasn't 61.

If you look carefully at the article, you will see that it was published June 12, 1998, the year that Pollock died at age 61. Dr. Pollock worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center in their Human Performance Laboratory, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during the 1980's. I also worked at Mount Sinai back then and met Dr. Pollock.
