It said that in the 70's-80's there was more autism reported,but it also said that w/cable TV came education for parents,so maybe more parents thought there kids were "delayed" and brought that to the attetion of the Dr.

Also we have had more enviromental hazzards sence then that we have been made aware of,like lead poisioning and the microwave
