You know where the emphasis should be as do we all. So why are we having this discussion? We all agree here (I assume) that a plant-based diet is optimal or we wouldn’t be in this group. But completely vegetarian and vegan diets aren’t the complete answer either until further evidence shows up. If you don’t trust this answer then read the files.

So what’s your BEEF? (I apologize for the bad pun). This is a rhetorical question to which I really don’t want an answer.

Eating mostly plants is a philosophical decision and not a nutritional

one, really?

Let;'s forgo CR for the moment (for sake of argument) and assume I am

eating slightly above the level necessary to maintain my weight. I am

slowly gaining weight.

Does it make any difference to my health that I consume 30 or 50% of

calories from BEEF and the associated fat, as compared to 90% whole

low-fat plants?

How about 50% of my total calories from fish? Will this ratio promote

better health markers than 90%/10% plant:fish ratio?

Is beef protective or isn't it? Is fish protective and to what degree?

Where should the emphasis be is what i am asking?
