Guest guest
Spooky stuff. It would be interesting to know what his percentage of being correct or even close to correct is. Some of this type of stuff also reminds me of Nostradamus and his quatrains. A lot of it depends on how you interpret it. Freaky for sure. I use to predict the future in the 1970's and early '80's when I smoked a lot of pot. I would predict the bag of Oreos would be empty in 15 minutes..and sure enough. > > > > OK, I have mixed feelings about all of this psychic stuff. Guest guest
I think that I am going to try my hand at this predicting stuff... I predict that within the next 48 hrs those of you who have commented on this thread will appear somewhere on Kev Leitch's blog. Your words will be twisted and you will be made out to look like a complete nut... so sorry. Seriously though, I have a great friend who went to a seminar and picked him for a reading and correctly noted that he has colon cancer. Very strange but true. Guest guest
Personally, I think is a phony... perhaps I'd give him a second chance with a private reading and no prior clues. But I really liked the South Park episode that canned him. > > > > > > > > OK, I have mixed feelings about all of this psychic stuff. Guest guest
The Bible talks about the gift of prophecy. But it also talks about only listening to those who come in The Name of The Lord. Debi > > OK, I have mixed feelings about all of this psychic stuff. Guest guest
I think so too. I saw something on TV that showed all the prep work he has to do before he does a reading. Guest guest
" did your friend know he had colon cancer already? or told him and he found out he did have it " ? My friend knew that he had colon cancer. At first, when brought it up ... my friend kept quiet. He really didn't want to talk in front of a bunch of people he didn't know about his health issues But kept persisting and then zoned in right on him. So, he acknowledged it. then went on to bring up an old basketball coach of my friends who had just died a few weeks before from colon cancer (ironically). He mentioned that this coach had a Larry Bird connection... Apparently, my friend lost it at that point because this coach used to call him Larry Bird (good outside shot, I hear). So, I don't know. Lucky guesses? " Reading " body language? Hidden microphones? I don't know. I'm skeptical but after hearing my friend tell the story it was very strange.... Sue M. Guest guest
Henry, I hope you're kidding. You know we're talking about two different , right? Guest guest
I tend to think our network of nerve cells throughout the body can pick up subtle electromagnetic waves and other atmospheric subtleties. No way to prove that, I suppose. But psychic phenomena always seems to occur with events that are emotionally important. And often triggered by stimulii that remind you of past, similar events to what you're about to intuit. Say there was a song playing on the radio years ago when a family member died, or some such environmental marker that makes an impression. I think, if you're sensitive, you may spontaneously start singing that song out of the blue... just before getting a phone call that someone close to you has died. Your subconscious mind was aware of a change in its environment... and this triggered a similar memory and its associated environment (like the song). Subconsciously, your mind assigns all kinds of imagery, sounds, textures, tastes and smells to people you know... or events you've experienced. If something emotionally important is about to occur, you may get the feeling of it by recalling these peripheral images, sounds, etc....or in some cases, your mind will build new imagery in the form of a prophetic dream or daydream. I don't think predicting the future has anything to do with information travelling backward in time. I don't believe time travel is possible, given some new ideas I've read concerning quantum gravity and some reevaluations of General Relativity. What I tend to think is that, as a people... we're interconnected (subconciously) like radio transmitters & receivers through our nervous systems. I also believe that the environment " records " events forensically... in a very physical sense that can be intuited (sometimes) by folks sensitive enough. After all, every physical event consists of mechanical and electromagnetic energy that changes matter. The nature of those changes are clues to past events. All the forensic sciences study how to reconstruct the past from the present environment...whether it's geology, anthropology...or even crime scene investigators! With future predictions, I think you're dealing with some subconscious awareness of both the present environment and present events that are converging TOWARD a NEW, changed environment with future events. And you pick up on these...either as an individual sensitive to the environment... or sensitive to other people and picking up on THE SUM of THEIR expectations/extrapolations for the future. It's all in my new book, " Crap I Wasted Years Thinking About, " by Random Thoughts publishers! ;-P > > So while we are on the topic of psychics - I think my son is in touch with > that energy level. Guest guest
I think sensitive folks can " calibrate " to the folks they love and live with. Knowing the mutual environment, the others' habits and patterns... very subtle clues can tip you off to what the other is PROBABLY thinking... and you'd be right more than 60% of the time, which gets noticed. I'm constantly saying things just before my wife has a chance to say them. I'm not sure that's mind reading... however I think sharing thoughts may be possible. > > Call me crazy but my son seems to too. > > We were at a healing session with Amma from India (they call her the hugging > saint), someone in my town who loves CJ made me take him.
