Guest guest
PBS's Frontline had a program tonight on Parkinson's disease which was startling and informative. Among the high points: 1. Parkinson's may be genetic in some, but in many cases it has an environmental trigger such as a toxin. 2. Monkeys that ran on a treadmill i.e. exercising monkeys shrugged off environmental " insults " when injected with them and remained healthy. However non-exercising monkeys developed Parkinson's when injected with the same environmental toxin. It was suggested that other diseases can be avoided by exercise. The program can be seen again at PBS.org. I recommend watching.
