Guest guest
I am totally new to this kind of eating and diet. Although I have known HOW to eat for decades (I am 64) I have rarely, for an length of time, put into practice the things I know. After much research I have decided that a modified CR program is something I might be able to live with for the long haul. I have a very busy schedule and need recipes and a plan wher I can either prepare the foods ahead of time or make simple meals quickly. My question now is which publications, web sites, etc. would be the best to get me started? I am 5' 11 " and weigh 252 lbs. It is OBVIOUS that losing weight is imperative, but I do not want a " Crash " diet where I will lose some weight, go off and gain it all plus more back. I also do all the cooking for my husband and myself. He is 6'2 " weighs 275lbs and is diabetic. He has lost the lower part of his right leg so is not as active as he should be, but neither am I and I don't have that excuse! Anyway, any help in getting this new (to us) lifestyle off the ground would be most appreciated. Thanks, Georgia
Guest guest
Read all the material sent to you upon joining. This will direct you to our links and files. ALL NEWBIES SHOULD READ THESE AND THE BOOK (Beyond the 120 Year Diet) BEFORE POSTING. These will give you everything you need to know to get started! If after all this reading you still have questions, then by all means post. You can also access our archives by using the search engine at our site. Almost all newbie questions have been answered in previous discussions. To all newbies: much work has gone into these archives and the files and links at our site. This has been done for your benefit. You will be well rewarded (as well as catch up to the veterans here) by reading them! Please understand that if we had to post answers to these questions every time someone joined the group, this group would not be the success that it is.
