Guest guest
Dave, The 2.5 software is not really in the same league as 2.0. It offers the ability to train ratios, percents--almost anything you might choose. It includes several of the best " game " software options available now for clients who are interested in that type of interface. It has dramatically improved the feedback options available. And, if you have 2.0 already, the cost to upgrade to 2.5 is just $150-200 ($135-180 on brain-trainer.com). If you are already comfortable with BE and training with it, then adding 2.5 will require you to learn a new piece of software. It is built on 2.0, but many of the functions are brand new and the interface (including the Wizard) will take some learning. That may be a downside. However, if you like using the game interface, unfortunately BioExplorer still lags seriously behind in this area. There really haven't been any particularly good Flash games developed for BE yet. It's also worth noting that BrainMaster has built part of their strategy in the marketplace on linking with other devices, so 2.5 would allow you to hook up with Bob Thatcher's database among a variety of other (extra-cost) options. Hope this is helpful. Guest guest
BMr has good games now. BE doesn't. Plus, BMr's having a 'sale' right now to upgrade (til 5-31-06). Software question Have asked this question privately but got no response: Is there any compelling reason to upgrade BMr 2.0SE to 2.5SE for a person who has Bioexplorer software. All opinions welcome. b/rgds Dave Giffen
Guest guest
Francesca, I have read Beyond 12o years and couple of other Walford books but I did not know there was a website with this group.  Where do I go to find the files I need to read?FredFrom: Francesca Skelton <fskelton@...>support group < >Sent: Sunday, July 5, 2009 6:48:19 PMSubject: [ ] Software questionNote: Forwarded message is attached. We have an entire file on software which gives you many options to choose from including many free software programs. Click on “files†to find it. We also have many easy recipes in our “links†section – donated by members. All members should have read all the files and links upon joining.  Our files and links answer many of these types of questions and are a continuation (so to speak) of Walford’s book. ============ ==== Dear CR support group, I am looking for software that will help me plan meals and track my nutritional content as well as my calories.  I have been using Palm software for some time, but it does not have as much nutritional information as I would like. I found one on Dr. Walford's site, but it looks out of date and is not available for Macs.  Any suggestions? I also find that the Walfords' meals tend to be complicated.  I know he insists they aren't, but my time and cooking skills are limited.  Does anyone have any recommendations on diet books or sites with high nutrition/low calorie options that are also simple? Thank you, Fred Stone -----Inline Message Follows-----Dear CR support group, I am looking for software that will help me plan meals and track my nutritional content as well as my calories.  I have been using Palm software for some time, but it does not have as much nutritional information as I would like. Guest guest
I’m not sure how you became a member without finding our site which is here: / The files and links can be accessed by clicking on them in the left hand margin of the website. Also any topic previously discussed can be accessed from the message archives by typing in the subject word in the search box. Naturally we don’t like to cover old ground. To all newbies: much work has gone into these archives and the files and links at our site. This has been done for your benefit. You will be well rewarded (as well as catch up to the veterans here) by reading them!
