Guest guest
Here are some home made 100 percent raw ingredients that I make batches and quite tasty: KETCHUP 3/4 cup blended tomatoes (1-2 ripe medium tomatoes) 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 2 tblspns of Nama Shoyu (raw soy sauce or tamari or any soy sauce you wish-these two are fermented so basically in its raw form) 2 tblspns of your preferred sweetener (raw honey, agave syrup, stevia, yacon-you can purchase at Wholefoods or Trader Joes) 2-3 cloves of garlic peeled and minced (med. cloves you cann use less if you want less garlicky but I like garlic so start with two you can ad more later) 1 to 1 1/2 cups sun-dried tomatoes soaked for at least 30 min to 1 hr.(Note: if you have a just a regular blender, chop into very small pieces as they will come out in large chunks unless you want chewy, chunky ketchup) Put all ingredients in a high speed blender such a vita-mix or Blendtec etc. blend on high until smooth. You will get a nice creamy and flavorful ketchup and you know what went in it. With most Americans, I notice they like it sweeter so fiddle with the ingrdients a bit until you get the taste you prefer. MARINARA PIZZA SAUCE This makes a great base for pizzas, calzones and sandwiches. 1 1/2 cups blended tomatos (1-2 med. ripe tomatoes) 1/2 cup lemon juice 2 tblspns soy sauce (Nama Shoyu or Tamari) 2 tblspns olive oil 2 tblspns chopped yellow onion 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes (Note: If you only have regular blender, chop and slice into very small pieces) pinch of sea or celtic salt and black pepper according to taste. Combined in a high speed blender until smooth. Optional: Shred some zucchini (2-3) with vegetable peeler, salt leave for at least 15 minutes, drain with paper towel and add some of the marinara sauce. So fast easy and delish raw pasta dish! SUN-DRIED TOMATO DRESSING This concentrated dressing goes well into salads or to garnish a plateful of raw crunchy veges. 1/2 cup olive oil 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup soy sauce (Nama Shoyu or Tamari) 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 3 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced 1/2 cup of soaked sun-dried tomatoes Combine all ingrdients and blend until smooth. All these recipes keep for at least five days in a tight glass jar container. If you put in a hermetic sealed or vacuum sealed container can last for over a week. You can get some of the more exotic ingredients in any large health food store hear you. Enjoy and hope that helps! Choose well and be well! J. Guest guest
I would quibble with using soy sauce. Very high in sodium. I personally avoid it.
