This is just one of the signs. We tested Maddie because of other symptoms

such as irritability and behavior, high blood levels indicating celiac, and a

very abnormal upper GI. When she had her first endoscopy, they told us they

thought they saw actual flattening of the vili. However, when the biopsy

came back, no celiac. They did find GEreflux though and she was on meds

for 3 1/2 years. We were ALL very surprised to find no celiac. BTW, the

endoscopy was a last resort (she's had two)----they are NO FUN!!!!!
