It's supposed to be a newer generation of Risp. and not as many side effects. >> MB: That's interesting about this new med.....I have just started to notice that is shaking a little with this new " Celexa " the doc added because of last week's " aggressive behavior " at the daycare....the reason he put him on it was even though is taking Risperdal (1mg. 2x a day), it doesn't seem to help with the ADHD part, especially the hyperactivity....he is still all over the place.....so he prescribed Celexa....now, after one week, I noticed that " shakes " when he applies force to his muscles...in other words, when he's straining to do something he's not strong enough to do....and when he's mad and you're trying to hold him from something.....it almost looks as though he's cold...you know, when you come out of the pool and you're shaking??? Think this is significant enough to bring to doc's attention....will call this a.m. and ask him about it...... P.S. A Mom who's kid has Aspergher (sp?) Syndrome says her kid was switched from Risperdal to Seroquel with much less side effects too. Any opinions or comments on these med's, guys?? That is, that when at rest there is notremor but when an intentional motion is used, there is a tremor. My foster daughter on 1 mg Risperdal divided twice a day has this tremor when tryng to lift a cup to her mouth or dress herself. Not serious enough to warrent changing med, but we are watchng it.
