Guest guest
I've always insisted on general politeness from . I also model it. I think I'm the only person I know who thanks the person on the speaker at the drive through. The other day we were about to walk between two people who were talking and before I could say anything, blurted out " 'scuse me. " I felt like grabbing those people and saying, " Do you realize how big of a milestone that was?! " Of course I didn't, I just praised when we got through. Guest guest
Well, being on a Military base, politeness must be rare indeed. I had the lady at the drive through speaker one time say, " What? " So I said I just said Thank you. When I got around, I asked her, " You don't get a thank you very often, do you? " She said she didn't. I've even got DH doing it now. Loriann

Well, I always tell my kids that if YOU'RE polite and kind, you get polite and kind responses. Almost always works. Living in the city doesn't give you a guarantee, but I tell the kids that they'll always feel better knowing that *they* were polite.
