Guest guest
I always put a tiny bit of celtic sea salt in the egg drink, it definitely is good. I often also put lemon or lime juice in it too, makes it almost like a fruit smoothie to me.... anna
Guest guest
LCL Coconut oil is perfectly safe. I'm just thinking about how greasy you could get . . . Some people really pile lotions on! Maybe you won't get the same effect . .. but when I use it as a body lotion, I notice bowel lubrication within 24 hours. Rogene

The rest of the article is good. 1 step forward 2 steps back. When will we get articles from people not in this group that get it ALL right? We are so indoctrinated about cholesterol being bad that the reversal of that notion will take a long long time. It now becomes clear to me how a nation can become duped into false premises. Just listen to propaganda for 2 or 3 generations and it becomes gospel truth. Guest guest
Yes CO is liquid above 74 degrees (or 72) right in that range so it should be fairly soft on most counters. I have never heard of storing it in the frig. I actually do keep some in the frig to use more as " shortening " , some on the counter for regular use and some in the garage so it is quite liquid It is the only oil I cook with now. I do use EVOO & Sesame Oil but only cold. Because coconut oil is antifungal it kills off candida in the stomach which causes the pain. ==>Some people need to start with 1/2 tsp. per day, or 1/4 tsp in 2 doses. > > I didn't see the response about what to do with my sharp stomach pain... Guest guest
: I don't think segregated parts of a particular food, work quite as well as the food in its entirety. For an example if you take Pectin instead of just eating an apple, you don't get the benefit of all the apple has to offer, that goes along with the pectin and compliments it. If you don't like the taste of the Coconut flavour, why not just buy the unflavoured one and use it in frying, sauteing, deep-frying and melted on your foods? It has just as much Lauric Acid as the unrefined one, without the taste. Bonnie Coconut Oil I know all the health-giving properties of coconut oil, I just can't stomach the stuff <blech>! Guest guest
Its not necessarily the taste, its the tecture. And I didn't know there was an unflavored one. Where do you find it? Guest guest
: I don't know where to tell you, since I'm in Canada, but wherever the flavoured one is sold, you should also find the unflavoured. Guest guest
There is expeller pressed coconut oil that has no taste and extra virgin coconut oil, which does. The thing is, it is pretty well known that you DO want the extra-virgin coconut oil for a therapuetic medicinal effect. The other one is healthy and tastes better (in some of our opinions - I'm like " you " ), but is not as potent. I would not use it for cooking and instead just put like 3 tbsp of the EV Coc Oil in a smoothie and guzzle it. A smoothie with (I use almond) milk, stevia and carob or something. Thats what I do. --------------------------------- Ready for the edge of your seat? Check out tonight's top picks on TV.
Guest guest
Dr. Fife said that even the refined (tasteless) oil has the same medicinal ingredients as the full-taste one does, same Lauric Acid and so on. The only difference he said, was that " who would want to eat it? " No one ones what is LEFT in the oil after bleaching and refining and deodorized. No one knows what's in it. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for your response. Yes, the brand is " Jarrow " and says extra virgen coconut oil. In fact, is the brand they recommended me at Whole Foods ( a chain of helth stores ). It says once open should be kept refrigerate. The unrefined one was soo less expensive. Which brand do you recommend me ? when I finished it, I´ll change the brand. Is too difficult to use. Guest guest
Hi Claudina, Sorry about getting your name wrong the first time! I've been buying either Spectrum or NOW Foods unrefined virgin coconut oil. Several grocery stores in my area carry them and I like the taste of both. Usually the unrefined oil is more expensive than the refined oil around here. At any rate, it's preferable to get the unrefined oil.
