I just started, again, and my prescription for 90 was $63.08! I live

in Canada. I will try another pharmacy next time. Does anyone know if

didrocal (for bone loss) is compatible with LDN? Or is there a

natural product for bone loss. Ive been on coral calcium for ever and

had a bone scan that said rapidly loosing bone density. So calcium

alone isn't cutting it. Osteoporosis runs in the family. Im only 45!

Do you know what filler you had with your local pharm? Skip uses Avicel. He says it's the best, I don't find any problem with it, but some people have had some problems. Skip also claims to keep a +/- 5% error rate where the requirement (?) is 10%. That's the reason for the dye. 3.0 is greenish and 1.5 and 4.5 is pink. He said as long as you see no white spots, it should be LESS than the +/- 5% rate.

I started using Skip from the start and I picked up refills in person back in January. He showed me his operation, so he's no longer a "mail order" company to me. Was great to meet him.

Okay, everyone probably knows this but me... but I just want to share. I got my first LDN prescription filled at a compounding pharmacy here in NJ. I didn't ask how much it was going to be... For 90 capsules, 1.5 mg... $93!!! GACK!So I got the prescription changed to Skip's Pharmacy in Boca Raton. I received it today... same prescription, including shipping, cost... $26.50. Okay, Larry, now you can say, "I told ya so." : ) -- Maureen

Hi Kathy

Once I read your story I realised that I wouldn,t be a friend if I didn't let you in on a non secret about calcium and how to take it etc,Not all Calcium is created equall, As you probably know or not, my mother is a homeopathic practitioner and since my sister is or was in the same shape as you( she was actually about to loose all her teeth and she is only fourty three or so), mom took it on herself to prescribe a calcium Magnesium suppliment from Jarrow that has made my sisters dentist revise his ideas about removing all of her teeth. After six months they are better than ever.

Deb my sis drinks tons of Coke and coffee and smokes like most any secretary in a high pressure job so to compensate she has to take these capsules (of course mother is beside herself cause of Deb's lifestyle but what can you do?)

Anyway this company has put together a real good Calcium Magnesium suppliment with Vit D which you should look into.Maybe you have seen there products in some Chiropractors offices or the like.

Also if the Calcium hasn't got Ossienmicrocrystalinehydroxyapatalene,( don't quote me on that word) in it it will do you very little good plus you should be taking Strontium seperatly from the calcium.

If you would care to learn more please e-mail me .

Reg.

Calcium has to be taken with Magnesium and vit d in order to be effective. If you are taking 800 mg of calcium you should be taking that much magnesium. Calcium doesn't work alone.

Larry asked: Do you know what filler you had with your local

pharm?

Maureen replies: Calcium carbonate. I had no problem with it. I'm

interested to see if there's any difference with the Avicel.

Larry said: I picked up refills in person back in January. He

showed me his operation, so he's no longer a " mail order " company to

me. Was great to meet him.

Maureen replies enviously: Boca Raton in January. Hmmm... Nice,

Larry, very nice.

Maureen continues, conversationally: By the way, I just happened to

notice a sentence at The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Center's

website, which says that LDN should be taken " with food, at

bedtime. " With food? Really? I haven't seen this before. Has

anyone else gotten this instruction?

Beats me, I take it within an hour or two of waking up, and that's usually 2-4 hours before I eat my first meal. I've taken it with food before, but those are oddities.
