Guest guest
I'm sorry your flare-ups are more prevalent. Perhaps this information from Dr. Bihari will help: Transient and temporary signs of your M.S. relapsing is to be expected. Your body may be trying to do some repair work if any "old" symptoms you've had before return. LDN should be tried for six to nine months before giving up on it. Guest guest
, So here's my question then, I can tell that my problems are none of the things you mentioned below. I'm physically having trouble walking now, and that has never been the case before. So what do I do now, normally the IV steroid would be the way to stop the attack. But I keep reading posts that state that the steroid is not compatiable with LDN, granted I've never read that on the LDN website. One person mentioned that it lowers your immune system just like the ABC'R's medicines. I did ask my Neuro once and she stated that your white blood cound would go up and IV steroids. All them things are really confusing to me. RDH > I'm sorry your flare-ups are more prevalent. Guest guest
I'm not an expert at all on LDN. Would you consider doing a phone consultation with Dr. Bihari? He charges $500, but it's well worth it. (212-929-4196) Others in the group have mentioned doing consultations with other doctors for quite a bit less, but he IS the guru... ________________________________________________________________ Juno Gift Certificates Give the gift of Internet access this holiday season. http://www.juno.com/give
Guest guest
, Don't waste $500 bucks for Bihari. I called Dr. in La Crosse, WI, he was only $175. Real nice guy. Only problem is that he's only in on Monday's, Thursday's & Friday's. You'll just have to call and make an appointment. Better to make the appointment for in the am. My original was at 0930. My followup is this coming Monday, 12/6 at 0900 and I believe that will be $70. Good luck ADJ PS. yes, Bihari is the guru, but you just want someone to prescribe it. > > I'm not an expert at all on LDN. Would you consider doing a phone > consultation with Dr. Bihari? Guest guest
Hi, guys! I'm reading and reading and the more I read, the more puzzled I become. We also use Dr. . Our initial consult in June of this year was $150, and we called back in 3 weeks with a progress report at no charge, then had another consult with him at 2 months of LDN for $75. At this point, he gave us a script for 4 months, and we do another consult in January, hopefully for the next 6 months worth. With everyone's postings, it looks like his prices are slowly going up and his time frames for consults aren't always the same. Of course, my son has done so well on it without any problems at all, maybe that is the reason for the differences. I did have to call him about a month ago when my son missed 3 doses by human error (read ex husband error here) and he started to have slight symptoms of numbness and tingling. I called to ask him to phone in 4.5 rather than the 3 he had been taking, and there was no charge for that. (He was unable to take the 4.5 because of stiffness and starting a new job and is going to try again over Christmas break from school, but his problems resolved as soon as he resumed the LDN.) Maybe we should all keep each other posted on our follow up consults with the doctors here, so we can compare the consistency of what is being done. Of course, if someone is having problems, they are going to be asked to report in sooner, right? We should all be charged the same, though, no matter what. Also, another thought and question...This is regarding Dr. Bihari writing scripts for a year at a time. I thought 6 months was the longest a script could be written for without obtaining a refill, but maybe this is for narcotics or controlled drugs only. Has anyone had any problem obtaining their LDN after the initial 6 months of a 1 year script? I'm asking because I would like to request this for my son. Thank you! Kim > , > > The other doctors may charge less for the first consult, but Dr. requires two 3-month follow ups at $75 each and then a 6-month at $75. Haven't seen what the second year will bring. What are the follow up requirements with Dr. Bihari? > > Sheila
