Guest guest
Tricks I have learned when trying to get clothes for my tubby boy: Women's clothes have shorter legs and sleeves. Women's pants size 20 is equal to a man's size 38-40 short. Less hemming. women's shoes size 5 wide is a better fit than boy's size 6 (I can't find boy's 5 wide enugh). I have found white velcro sneakers with pink heel strips - black magic marker took care of that. Also, when Elie was younger I bought unisex girl's 1/2 size shirts and pants. More elastic in the pants and shorter sleeves on long sleeves. Skater pants are still made in boy's and men sizes and have elastic in waist and bottom of legs. Utility is a great brand (found at Target, Sears, and Wards in the East. Even found some tiny check pants this year with cargo pockets! SAS makes a nice shoe in the slightly pricy range (60-80). Their women's shoes are also sized wide and small. Last a long time if your kid's feet grow as slowly as Elie. NOT FOR the kids who throw shoes away!!
