Guest guest
dear , I also asked my gp if he would prescribe ldn, he said give him some information on it, I brought him copies of Dr, Bihari's web site. Next visit, I asked him again about letting me try it, I couldn't believe it when he said enlighten me. I have been going to him for many years, but I was frustrated and I said, " well if you won't prscribe it i will go to some quack and get it, " No response. My neuro is out of the question, he is " all protocol, doesn't even believe in vitamins, can you believe it? So, i got help from a good on-line friend, she gave me the name of her doctor, out of state who prescribes it alongwith a telephone conference. I finally got an appointment with him, he is busy. I have been prescribed 3 mg. for now. I talk to him later this month again. I have a question, do you have to have your blood checked for anything in particular? In your opinion what is the best filler?I don't know what is in mine. Oh!, I have been on it for one month. Took it at 10:00 pm tonight, been experimenting a bit. Notice I sometimes get a " little high feeling after taking it, also the next day I sometimes feel dragged out-, sometimes a little dizzy, is that normal? -One more question, is it normal to have your walking get worse, and your balance in the beginning of treatment? I read one letter saying she went through a lot of her old symptoms one after the other until they went away. take care Edie--- Original Message ----- From: " " <jatrac1@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2004 11:50 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Primarily for , Info re LDN and babies... old post from April, 2004 > > , I don't know if janebee is still posting, you could send her a > direct email. Guest guest
Unlike so many drugs that damage the liver, LDN really is very benign. You don't need to have liver enzymes checked, or anything like that. The filler question is an ongoing issue, but I think the simple answer is best: if the filler doesn't seem to be bothering you don't worry about it AS LONG AS IT IS A FAST RELEASE SUBSTANCE. If you are getting your LDN from Skips you have a fast release filler. If not, ask your pharmacist what they used. Quite a few of us have seen the return of old symptoms in the beginning, some mild, some more severe. Some people tend to overdue when they begin to feel better, setting themselves back a bit. I don't get high after I take it, but I do get sleepy. I also went through a nasty period of weakness about a month after I started taking it. I don't have an explanation for that, but it sure worried me. Hang in there, stay calm. I'm sure you'll hear from more of us with responses to your concerns. This is a good group of very caring people, all very happy to share experiences and try to help each other. Guest guest
I don't know enough about histamine patches to have an opinion. There are many people here far more learned than I am... Guest guest
Wow , Thanks so much for looking for this for me!! Much appreciated. I may talk to my obstetrician about this at my next appointment which is Dec 29th. I'll be around 32 weeks pregnant then and I really like my doc so I hope he'll be able to be of help in this area for me. I'm sure if he cleared the fact that it's safe for breastfeeding then my GP would probably prescribe it to me. I will wait however to discuss this with both of them. Thanks again so much! http://edwina.sail.to From: " janebee " <bee3@c...> > > <low dose naltrexone > > > Sent: Saturday, April 03, 2004 12:27 PM > > Subject: [low dose naltrexone] To anyone having a hard time getting their > > Dr. > > to prescribe LDN . . . . . . . . > > > > > >> My neureo was very suspicious when I asked her for LDN.
