Guest guest
There is some interesting data in the Tysabri datasheet. http://www.tysabri.com/downloads/product_information.pdf In study 1: On placebo (no drug/untreated), 53 % of patients had no clinical relapse. i.e. without treatment about half had no relapses. In study 2: On avonex alone: Only 46 % of patients had no clinical relapse. i.e. Treatment with Avonex is similar (or worse, 7 % more relapsed on avonex) than those not receiving any treatment. So why take Avonex ???. I think the results sound the death knell of Avonex. Aegis P.S. Caveats: 1. There was some minor benefit to Avonex on the MRI as compared to no treatment. 2. The results are being compared across 2 studies.
