Guest guest
Hi, . Hopefully, you've changed your mind and realized your value to this board! I would hate to see you leave, truly. You've been very supportive of me and so many others here, and I truly appreciate it. If you are still here, I have a question for you or anyone who might be able to answer. My son is going to have to have his gallbladder removed over the holidays while he is out of school. He has had problems off and on and we found out today that his gall bladder has probably been non-functioning for a couple of years, so it needs to come out. I am so terrified of taking him off the LDN for the surgery and possible pain medication needs afterwards. The surgery is a simple laproscopic procedure, but we can't be sure he won't need pain meds. Does anyone know what would happen if he stayed on the LDN and did have to take prescription pain meds? Would they just not work as well as normal? Or would it be safe to play it day by day and just not take it the night before the surgery and see what happens? If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know. I just think the surgery itself is going to stress him a bit, and add that on top of not taking his LDN and I'm afraid it will cause an exacerbation. About a month ago, his LDN shipment was late and he was without it for 3 days and he had mild symptoms of an exacerbation that stopped as soon as he resumed it. I don't know if it was the stress of " not having it " or if he was just trying to have an exacerbation when he ran out of it, but it was very real to him. He's just doing so darn well that I don't want to mess this up, you know? Anyway, I'll welcome all thoughts on this. And , if you could ask Dr. B for me that would be fantastic. I can call Dr. , but I'm not real sure he knows much more about this than we do! Thanks in advance. Kim
Guest guest
Well you said you would welcome all thoughts on this,So here goes.... You said "probably been nonfunctioning" was it like mine? .... Years ago I had gallbladder attacks almost weekly I soon I found out that anything greasy, anything that was fresh baked in oil like doughnuts, fresh cucumbers, onions, heaven forbid onion rings! Even drinking one drinking box of apple juice.Anyhow the list was long and the pain was unendurable really! So I went to my naturopath who gave me directions for a cleanse for my gallbladder to soften the stones that were blocking it.That was the problem all along. A couple of days later I passed the stones with no discomfort at all and to this day twenty-five years later I still have had no problems with recurring stones. My mother had part of her gall bladder removed (Dr.s botched it by not getting all of it the first time) and for years she was in a lot of discomfort until one year when they were on vacation in Austrailia an Australian Doctor got the rest of it. I believe that God made us with all the right parts and we should die with them still in tact. Would it not be better to make sure he has to get rid of this by exploring all aspects? The gallstone cleanse is so easy to do and only takes three days, lots of Apple juice , and some other common ingredients, Will not be affected by LDN and may save a lot of future problems like Codiene intolerance! Just to name one. Reg. -- [low dose naltrexone] For , if you're still around...And anyone else who can answer... Hi, . Hopefully, you've changed your mind and realized your value to this board! Guest guest
Kathy, I have never heard this before; about distemper, but I was the only family member of 9 to have MS and I was bitten by a dog when I was in grade 2. Got some shot from the Dr. afterwards but will have to ask my Mom if they knew anything about the dog? Guest guest
Thank you, Kathy, for your reply. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of surgery did you have and did they use anesthesia or just a local? This is gall bladder removal and he will have to be put under. To my knowledge, he has never been exposed to distemper, but we DID raise Golden Retrievers for years when he was younger, so it is not an impossibility. He is doing really well right now with the LDN alone, but I appreciated your thoughts on the bee venom therapy. I've researched it in the past, and I have friends who have used it, but not everyone had the great results that you had. You are fortunate. Thanks again for your input! Take care!
