LOL My friends love Seth, but they love their homes, possessions and sanity too! LOL I have lost all of that because of Seth's PICA. Guest guest
I've really been blessed with my church. They are so accepting of . The best story I have, happened over the 4th of July. We went to a picnic, at a public picnic/beach area. Should have been a signal. DH and I alternated between watching (read - running around like chickens) and sitting with in his playpen. All of a sudden, DH comes running up, " I lost ! " The 3 most dreaded words. We sent out search parties.....DH found him at a site across the way (big park) where they had the ball thingie and a clown. Needless to say, we were ready to leave. We had an interim pastor at the time (our regular associate pastor, who was " filling in " until we could find a regular one). He said as we left, " Thanks for bringing by. " Not, " Nice to see you, " or whatever else he could say, but thanks for bringing . And yes, I am going to miss them very much. Our situation here is unique for military bases. We've seen so many good friends leave. At the point where we are now, I'll only be leaving about 3 really good friends that I will miss terribly. Makes it bitter-sweet to leave..... Guest guest
Gail & Loriann, I know what you mean! Friends and family that haven't seen for a long time will say something like, oh, don't worry, he can't hurt anything! LOL!! Little do they know! LOL I would prefer that people come here. He does things like rip down blinds and curtains, knock over lamps, etc. At a family Christmas party we went to in December, he got to a window display before dh or I could grab his hands....so much for that! LOL It tends to make you just a teensy bit TENSE!! LOL I can't remember anybody ever telling us thank you for bringing by...except maybe a doc! LOL Has hard as it is sometimes to miss gatherings, it's harder to go to them, I think. So far I don't resent the fact that I have really *given up* my old life, so to speak. I would rather stay home with Seth than to take him out to destroy the world, or leave him with someone and worry the whole time about BOTH of them! LOL Hope the pre-op goes well. And no you are not overreacting about ....BUT I AM!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR LOL Gail
