My entire torso was the worst area. My breathing was very shallow due to my inability to get any lung expansion due to the extreme squeezing of muscles(and I've never smoked). Mine was neuropathic. Sounds as though your's might be also. LDN reduced this pain approx 75% over a 6 month period. I got a 50% reduction overnight on LDN, my first dose. I started out on 4.5mg and use lactose filler. I've been on LDN 1 and 1/2 years with no sign of progression/worsening of my 14 straight year Chronic Progressive MS. I was one of the lucky two-thirds who actually saw symptom improvement. The squeezing pain reducing was the first symptom to die down, then fatigue reduced and then bladder improved, etc... Remember, not everyone will see symptom improvement on LDN but you should get a halt in your MS progression. I never used any of the CRAB's or Novantrone. I use Cantrell Drug Company in Little Rock, Arkansas to get my LDN compounded 1-877-666-5222. Wagner is my pharmacist. 30 capsules cost $45.00. The reason the higher cost is she only mixes a few LDN scripts but got the LDN website address from me to read exactly how the medicine needed to be compounded and I have been 100% satisfied. Irmat Pharmacy in NY is good(Dr. Bihari uses Irmat) and Skip's pharmacy in Florida is good also. Give LDN a try.
Guest guest
, who knows for sure. The studies just aren't there to provide solid data. From what I have read from the people on this board, LDN is more successful at halting the progress of MS, but not for everyone. Some people, perhaps 5-30% see some symptom improvement. Some dramatic, like being able to walk again, some just easing of tingling, others none, or not enough for them to be able to tell. But, with that said, a lot of people have benefited from LDN and while no one can predict how it will effect you, I think it is definitely worth a try. You really have nothing to lose. You also don't have to stop Copaxone, as they aren't contraindicated. My wife has been living normally for the last two weeks (not really long enough to be significant) on LDN. Here is her regimen: Started at 3mg for 10 days. Took 2 days off and started 4.5mg yesterday. Taken between 10-11pm. She isn't watching her diet or exercising regularly. Some people say take a day off here and there and others say not to. Most agree that 4.5 is the ideal dose, however some are on much less and a few are on 6mg. Usually people try to work up to 4.5 from 3. Good Luck. .......
