Guest guest
Had nathan's IEP meeting yesterday, and WOW!, am im impressed, the school is doing a great job, and so is nathan, other than some behavior probs etc, as usualy, lol, he is at a 3month kindergarten level in both reading and math, is ready to start handwriting, so that is going to be a major part of his curriculum now, not just some here and there throughtout the day, has 30 words and his reading dictionary or log that he can read, and making sentences etc out of them, wahoo, they will be soon testing him with the 1st graaders CBM tests, we all agreed that those basic skills are just a pianful week for nathan and the teachers, lol, so never doing those again, wahoo, they are going to start some new stuff to help with his behavior/SI toghether. Im real excited, the only prob is his antisocial behavior, but havent found a med that helps with that, at least the ritalin keeps him clam through out the day at school not banging off the walls, lol. And the kids are all pretty eager to try and get nathan to participate with them in activites he can do such as recess, pe, art music etc, but now he keeps only wanting to play with his friend brent who has just ds, but he sees and does activities even out of school with brent, nathan is very attachable. just had to brag, its been awhile since ive been able to do that. shawna.
