Turben at TASH

Gail,

I checked Turben's name in the directory of the TASH Conference. I

had it highlighted to go to- but ended up at a different sessions instead.

(Which was NOT helpful- on " Parents who are Also Professionsals " ).

Now I wish I had gone to hear her- the byline for her session reads:

" Recent attempts by professionals to shift from " pros as experts " to

parents as partners are studied through analysis of family stories.

Family-professional partnerships are enhanced when pros demonstrate a

willingness to accept parental goals, needs, and concerns, not their own. "

Shoot. Someone on our side! Hope she is a big help for you and Ted.
