Guest guest
Well here is a interesting one, and I thought this would be the place to check if anyone had such experiences. I am 35, was diagnosed with Werdnig-Hoffman, when I was very young, but am probably best characterized as a very weak SMA II or Very Strong SMA I. Limited use of arms at this point, and use BiPAP every night for 7 to 9 hours. Two years ago I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma for an old mole I have had since around birth, had it removed and had some rather aggressive posttreatment (including using Leukine as an adjuvant treatment though it was not clear I was fully staged at Stage III. Just last week, I had a biopsy on a very small mole in the same region where the original tumor was excised, that came back with evidence of microscopic metastases, which raises the chances of upstaging this disease. I am just wonder if anyone has experienced a combination of SMA and Melanoma, and would have any specific experiences to relate. Thanks in advance, Adam.
