Research into game accessibility

Hey all,

I'm working on the first phase of my doctoral research, and I thought I'd

mention it here in case anyone was interested in participating.

My research concerns the accessibility of videogames to individuals with all

different kinds of impairments. This first phase is a brief survey intended to

get a feel for a) how disabled gamers play games and B) what kinds of games we

play. If you're a gamer (it doesn't matter if you're a competitive FPSer or you

stick to casual Facebook games -- it ) and you've got a few minutes free, I'd

really appreciate it if you'd take a look:

www.tinyurl.com/AccessibleGaming

If you complete the survey, you're eligible to be entered in a drawing for a $50

Amazon gift card if you provide your name and a contact e-mail address. Either

way, though, no personally identifiable information will be tied to your

responses or ever published; I'm a real stickler for privacy!

Please e-mail me (either as a reply here or directly at jrporter@...) if you

have any questions or find any part of the survey to be inaccessible to you, and

also feel free to send this along to anyone else you know who might be

interested in participating.

Thanks!

Ack! Speech recognition snafu! That parenthetical in the second paragraph was

supposed to say " it doesn't matter if you're a competitive FPSer or you stick to

casual Facebook games -- it all counts "
