Guest guest
Hi All, I'm meeting tomorrow with a nurse from Blue Shield's health care advocate program. I tried it a few years ago and only found it to be annoying to be called weekly by someone pretty clueless about living independently with a significant disability. She basically only called and asked how I feel and if I need anything. Note: I am visited 1-4x per month already by an excellent home infusion nurse. I'm trying out this service again in hopes that it can be helpful with purchasing and repairing DME. Does anyone have tips on how to best utilize this type of service? Might the nurse be useful in getting a preauthorization for a power wheelchair seat elevator? My vendor wants a cash deposit before they'll order my chair because they say Blue Shield and Medicare will deny it. Thanks! Alana
