Guest guest
Hello, I have been trying to get Trilogy 100, but Apria Healthcare refuses to give it to me saying that it's a ventilator and because of that I don't qualify for it. Does anybody use Trilogy 100 as a BiPAP or everyone really uses it as a ventilator? Aul
Guest guest
We use the Triology on bi-pap settings. Good luck with Apria Suzanne On Fri, Apr 27, 2012 at 6:41 PM, Aul Pedajas <aulpedajas@...> wrote: > ** > > > Hello, > > I have been trying to get Trilogy 100, but Apria Healthcare refuses to > give it to me saying that it's a ventilator and because of that I don't > qualify for it. Guest guest
Oh boy, Apria strikes again! I was told the EXACT thing, no vent, no Trilogy chair, ONLY Permobil because they're the " best. " Call the manufacturer of the chair & your insurance and check if Apria is correct or not, or plain lazy & lying! I had to go beyond them to get my new chair(s)!!! Once I wanted them to put in the " elevator " feature to my new chair. They told me it can't be done and that I should have asked for it when ordering the chair. They didn't Give me that option, so I didn't know I could order it!!! It was like talking to a little smart-ass brat, " Why didn't you tell me??? You didn't ask! " So, I called Permobil and they told me that it CAN be done!!! I called Apria back told them who to call at Permobil (as if they didn't know) and put that feature on my chair, then they said Medicaid won't pay for it. They never do! I told them to submit the order/claim and that there's no harm in trying. Then... I called a state representative, told his assistant my story and she was incredible & helped me get Medicaid to approve fitting my new chair with ALL the features I needed in a week! The company kept saying how shocked they were because that never happens! I said I was pleasantly surprised too! So, you do what you have to to get what you need!!! Good luck! Blessings! Meg W. Guest guest
Meg, the Trilogy Aul is talking about isn't a power wheelchair, it's a portable ventilator made by Respionics. > > > Hello, > > > > I have been trying to get Trilogy 100, but Apria Healthcare refuses to give it to me saying that it's a ventilator and because of that I don't qualify for it. Guest guest
Oh that's right. Ooops! Sorry! But either way, I'd fight Apria on any equipment you need from them. Just be careful that they don't just lie to you. Do your homework. Is there any other company you can try in your area??? Did you talk to your doctor about this problem? I wish I knew how to help you. I'd just keep calling other places for advice/help. Again, good luck!!! Blessings! Meg W.
