Dealing with attendants

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my post. My Internet has been down for a

week so this is the first opportunity I've had to reply.

I can't really afford to refuse the attendants who are most stressing me out

because they tend to work weekends and holidays so without them, I wouldn't be

receiving care. I have spoken to some of the other clients on the service, but

many of them are very apathetic about speaking out, or simply don't want to rock

the boat. Also, I and the heaviest care client receiving surveys, and I

understand that most of the other clients have very straightforward routines

that almost anybody could do.

We also have very strict labour codes in Canada which is one of the reasons why

I'm reluctant to take complete control over managing my care. I've heard too

many horror stories about people being locked in battle with their attendants.

I will be checking out the website mentioned. It might be a good way to get some

advice or at least vent about a really stressful situation.
