Guest guest
I saw Dr. Bihari today and was able to get three questions answered; the others were too diagnostic in nature. MARTHA: LDN is very successful for Crohn's disease. Dr. Bihari has about two dozen patients. With the exception of one of them, all inflammation cleared up (fistulas) within two weeks. The other patient had partial success. JULIE & ARLENE: Lyme's disease: When ticks first appear, the lesions will clear up in about four weeks with antibiotics. LDN doesn't do this, but work long-term. There is a form of Lyme's which is considered autoimmune. Although Lyme's can cause joint pain like MS, it generally doesn't cause parathesias (burning, tingling, numbness). KARINA: Dr. Bihari has used LDN successfully to treat non-Hodgkins lymphoma, including people who have received extensive conventional therapies. LDN will not interfere with stem cell transplants of any kind. Some general points: o Dr. Bihari said that many of his patients have had a tough 4-6 weeks. It's been cold and wet in New York. o He is a great believer in B12 shots to combat MS fatigue; I took my first one today. o He also prescribes Elavil for neuropathic pain at 10 mg, which is much lower than what's prescribed for depression (50-100 mg). Happy New Year everyone.
