Guest guest
" Edie, I have been consulting him since September and from what I was told a follow up is no longer possible. I was due for one in January. I believe we are to soon receive a letter of explanation. Regards Joanne " I would suggest to all that are seeing a doctor that is no longer available to you for LDN prescriptions, to see another doctor who is forward thinking in his practice. What you can show him at this point is that you are already using the LDN and it is proving to be very helpful to you. I think that doctors are not quite as fearful to continue with a therapy that has already been prescribed by another doctor that seems to be helping as opposed to just going in and never having used it. I think that in the back of their minds is probably always the fear of a lawsuit but if another doctor has already prescribed it and you are doing well, one had to think that the fear will not be there. I am no longer seeing a neurologist at this point and hope to never have to see one again actually. There are many naturopathic doctors and those that specialize in homeopathy that would probably be much more receptive to something different. I found mine by going to www.lef.org and clicking on health concerns. There is an innovative doctors list there and I got lucky when I called the first one that was actually near my home too. He was not at all afraid of Naltrexone so I was good to go. I should report to the group that this was back in May of 2002, making my use of LDN over 2 1/2 years now. I have not had any MS problems during this time other then some minor vertigo that I can remember at this point. Oh and after the first 6 months I had a slight decline again which led to me finding a different compounder and upping my original dose of 3mg to 4.5mg. No problems since. I use Skip's Pharmacy in Florida which I love and of course he is the most reasonable pricewise. He told me that since he is filling so many LDN prescriptions and now buying the Naltrexone in bulk, he is passing the savings along to his customers. Just thought that the newbies would like a status report from someone that has been using it for a longer period. Anyone can feel free to write to me at any time. Good luck to all and of course HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hoping that the LDN makes this coming year many more very healthy for all...{{{hugs}}}.
