Guest guest
HI everyone, We have some areas in our back yard behind the lawn that are dirt now that my dh has cleared the weeds, and Brook just loves to go out there and throw it around. He digs his fingers in the dry dirt and just throws it. If it's earlier in the year he throws mud. Of course then he is filthy and his fingers get cut and scraped up. I told dh that we are going to have to cover that dirt up with bark and shrubs etc. I'm now hoping we can break him of this habit so that he won't throw bark all around. When we take him to a park with any sand, he just loves to throw the sand. Does anyone else have a dirt and sandthrower? Guest guest
Yep, is a thrower too! We have learned the hard way to give him only small, soft toys in the car. We don't roll his window down far enough to him to pitch something out. He will and has lost shoes, washcloths, etc. that way! LOL At home, if he doesn't want something, he tosses it, mostly backwards, over his shoulder. Outside, he gets a handful of sand and watches it go through his fingers; same with dirt. Grass, flowers, etc. get thrown in the air. Now that I think about it, the only stuff he doesn't pitch is stuff he can twirl. Go figure! Guest guest
Matt will throw sand at the beach, especially into the water. He also loves to throw rocks into water. I've not seen him throwing dirt, yet! ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Guest guest
Matt throws everything too. I didnt' even think of that. He has thrown his shoes out of the car window more times than I care to recall. And when we get out of the car, he " HAS " to throw something out. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
Angel is a thrower period. She will throw toys, books, you name it. She really loves to do this in the truck. Empties the whole back seat in moments. She aims it all at us. She tends to do this when she is mad or tired. When she has nothing to throw she throws her glasses and her socks and shoes at me. She also throws her glasses out of the truck for the heck of it. Stinker-binker. Guest guest
Well, yes, Brook throws a lot of other things too. Mostly whatever he can find around the house. He hasn't figured how to get his shoes off yet, but that is partly because he wears orthotics and then the shoes and it makes the whole process of getting the shoes off more difficult. I try not to let him have anything in the car because I don't want to be hit on the head when I am driving, he can't open the windows either. But, he does love going for a ride in the car. We always say that if the 76ers didn't want her on their basketball team, then the Phillies would take her for her great right arm.....;-) DOnna
Guest guest
My goodness! This describes to a T, and takes me back a bit. throws everything he gets his hands on. When he was smaller, oh, 2 or 3, he would throw his blocks backward, behind him also, and Dad would sport a bruise on his face regularly. LOL had such good aim (still does). Always got Dad between the eyes! And never seemed to look where it was going! But he still throws everything. Sand at the beach most recently, rocks, grass by the fist-full, dirt, toys, the remote control, food, anything he is finished with/frustrated with/bored with....we have learned to move very quickly, either by ducking or retrieving from his hands before it becomes a projectile. " Incoming " , " Heads up " and " What's he got? " are common exclamations in our home! Also, we have not been able to allow toys in the car. He hits with them or throws them. We came up with games to play, like a version of " I Spy " or singing. Deb --- Imaddenmom@... wrote: > Yep, is a thrower too! Smacked a poor woman right in the cheek. Talk about turning PURPLE!!!!!!!! ME that is; Maddie didn't even notice!!!!! LOL Donna
