Guest guest
Hi All: Today we the caregiver who is really good with Ray in that she doesn't allow him to get by with everything even though we can get punched for that. She is also an aide in his classroom during the year. We have similar attitudes about that. Following his bath we took him into town to one of his favorite restaurants. I was a little worried about the amount of clothes he insisted on wearing on such a hot day. Don't know how much role that played in the following: He was good at lunch and at Walmart. However, we got the grocery store he was punching both of us. Kathy told him not to punch his Mom and I think that may have set him off. One time he got really mad at her for that in the past but never this bad. He started to pick up meat and throw it. She stopped him. He threw himself on the floor. Kathy stood nearby while I did part of my shopping. They caught up to me several minutes later but he was distracted by displays of pop. Kathy tried to block him from getting it being afraid he might throw cases of pop. He scratched her trying to get around her. He laid on the floor in a middle isle for what seemed an enternity. People stopped, some sneered, MANY starred and some mummured comments. I was afraid some one was going to run over him. I knew that having both of us on top of him might escalate him but it was impossible for one person to guard him from throwing the pop and still watch his feet from being run over in the middle of the main isle. We finally gave it to have one soda instead of the case he was trying to get. He got up but as we got to the checkout line he thew himself on the floor again. He was there for another eternity. When we finally got out of there I realized he had a bottle of water I thought I had in the cart and paid for. I looked at the slip and realized the clerk didn't even charge me for the soda I told her he had. I wanted to fall through the floor. When we got home he had another large bowel movement. He had done that earlier today today. He has been battling constipation even with the massive amounts of magnesium he gets and not very good appetite. I started giving him a stool softener and it seems to be helping. He did have two large ones today and one yesterday so I didn't think that would cause agitation today. He does have a rather large pimple on his hip which can help but be painful. Of course, there is the heat. I just don't know what it was about.
