Guest guest
My now 5 year old had her tonsils out and her brother 2 weeks before at 12 and both really truely werent like this. Kiaras were a breeze at 3 . No 5 day problems and she was amazing. She ate almost as soon as food would comfortably go down. Now the 12 year old.. suffered a bit more..but nothing like the stories you are reading here... took him 2 weeks to fully recover.. vanessa mom to kiara 5 Second Thoughts! I have just read the posts about the tough time recovering from a tonscillectomy. I have a twelve yod, and a five yos (w/) that may be facing this surgery! After your testimonials....I may reconsider! I am so sorry that you'all are having such a tough time! My 12yod had two sets of tubes and her adnoids removed by the age of two. Neither of these were as bad as what you are describing. Tubes are a walk in the park comparitively speaking!!! The adnoids were a little worse. Thank you for keeping us updated through all of this! Guest guest
My daughter Madison did GREAT w/ the adnoids removal and tube placement. Yes this is MUCH MUCH WORSE - but if it works it would be worth it - right. I think Im still trying to convince myself Madison is three so she did not understand - drink or we go to hospital. Take your meds or you'll get an infection. She just understood - My throat hurts so don't swallow anything. Good luck w/ what ever you decide Cheryl youngolewife5 <youngolewife5@...> wrote: I have just read the posts about the tough time recovering from a tonscillectomy. Guest guest
My daughter, 3 yrs old, had tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy on Dec 13th. She had an amazing recovery! She is doing very well, has gained some weight, eating better, sleeping better, and her personality has improved. She is talking more, singing, dancing. She seems so much happier. She told me the other day that she's " not sick anymore " , it brought tears to my eyes. I can't imagine what our children have had to endure at such a young age. I know that our case is extremely positive so far (no fevers yet), I pray that your child recovers as well as my Kaitlyn.
