Low platlets and

I would love to hear from anyone else who also has a child with this

issue. Our son n (4 yrs old) has suffered fevers, rigors, mouth

ulcers and joint pain for as long as I can remember. I was continually

told he has a virus. After giving up work and taking him out of

childcare he still got sick. I then began keeping a diary. He has a

fever very two weeks so 4 out of every 14 days he was ill with a

fever. We have seen so many specialists and so many blood tests only

to come up with very little. Along with the symptoms n

also gets low platlets to the point that I can pin point when a fever

is due, due to his bruising. His platlets are not so low that they are

dangerous. His immunologist is thinking that possibly he has two

illnesses. Does anyone else have the platlet issue as well. He has

been on small doses of cortisone as I cannot control the fever

anymore. We are waiting for the next fever to try the suggested dosage

for . I am a emotionally exhausted Mum and am so greatful that

there is some else also try to work their way though the maze of

medical stuff. I hope to hear from someone soon
