Guest guest
Regarding this discussion about testing for all of these other conditions before a diagnosis can be made - how do you get tested for them? Our doctor has done a lot of the base blood tests and clinical observation of symptoms, but when we asked about the genetic testing she said that only the NIH was doing that and she would have to ask to have included in a study (which she is going to do). I realize there is contact info for a NIH doctor on the web site files, but in my experience specialists always want referrals from other specialists, so it seemed better to let our ID doc contact them. Is NIH the only way to get the genetic tests performed? In the meantime, she wants to treat with Prednisone as if he has without doing the genetic testing. Thank you, Keri Gerber Mom to , almost 3, likely the dr thinks Austin, TX
