Guest guest
Hi , Brook is 11 and still in diapers, so I don't think it's related to age for most of our kids. For many years now we have been using diaper inserts that really help keep Brook dry. Currently we only use them at night. We put two of them in his night time diaper and that keeps his jammies and sheets dry. Sometimes I put them in his diaper in the daytime also if I know we are going somewhere where it will be difficult to change him. He doesn't mind being wet and I don't think there is any way to make him care about it. Developmentally he is around 2 years or so. We get the diaper inserts from the Regional Center, but you can also buy them in the store where they sell the incontinence supplies. Anyway if you use the inserts you will save yourself from having to do a lot of laundry. Guest guest
, Sanitary pads don't work as well if they have the plastic lining on the bottom to keep the underwear dry. You need something that will let the urine flow through to the diaper. Marisa

Guest guest
Marisa, Been a few years since I had to use pads :-) Wish I could forget what they even look like but by that times I'll be wearing the diapers!! Guest guest
Thanks Marisa. I'll have to try that. I never thought about adding more to the diaper.
