Hi My name is Beth I have been a member for about 6 months, I havent

posted in awhile but i always read the messages. I have a few

questions, and would like to see if any of you have simular symptoms.

My son started having monthly fevers starting in april (15 months

old) with a few episodes before that with over 104 fevers. but from

about 9 months till 15 months he was on predisone once or twice a

month for 5 days each due to us finding out about all his food

allergies(he's anapholatic). Could that be why we did not see any of

these episodes till he was 15 months old?

We have been prescribed predisone for his next cycle, but the ID

doc still dont think he has this ,(we have ruled out HIDs)

since other than the fever (that go up to and have gone over 105)he

has not shown any other symptoms. and every few months he has a

month where he does get a fever but it dont go above 101.2 if that

high. Do any of you have a month where the fever is not high? with

every fever he is cranky and ocassionally he has loose stool, and

someone mentioned welt like blisters on thier childs bottom, well my

son has had this but i just thought it was hives from something he

ate and it only reacted with his skin when he passed it. Are these

welts/hives a symptom of ? Ok my son gets cranky during an

episode, but he is only 23 months and too young to tell me exactly

where he hurts,so am i to assume this crankyness is from joint pain?

and these sores i have read about.. are they inside or oustside the

mouth? I ask because this past episode witch was mild he never went

above 100.8 he kept saying awie awie and pointing to his mouth

(above upper lip and right cheek) I could not get a good look, but i

do think i seen what appered to be a sore..kinda like a canker

sore.. is that what others sores look like? Also how long have your

kids had to have these fevers till the docs tried to do something

about them?

I LOVE LOVE this group, all of your posts help me so much,

learning and knowing others have the same conserns as i do. I have

missed this about a month of posts due to computer problems, I

scaned them tho.. Thanks Beth
