How quickly does cimetidine work

For those of you who have used cimetidine and it work, how long did it

take for it to start working. I was told it could take up to 6mths. My

question is how long do you stay on it before you know it's not going

to do the job. Within that 6 mths does the child get less frequent

fevers or more mild symptoms or has there been no change and then it

works. And what are the chances that if it doesn't work right away that

is going to work at all. Or is the norm for it to take so long to start

working? We just started my daughter 18 mths and it has only been a

month. I thought we were lucky and she wasn't going to fever this month

but she woke up this morning with a fever. I hate not having any

answers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I want to know what the hell she has and to fix

it. I can't stand seeing her like this. It is too heartbreaking. I

dont' how those of you who have been dealing with this for years have

handled it.

He was put on the middle dose range for his size. If it didn't work by our

started cimetidine shortly after an episode in March and has not

had a fever since! :-)
