Guest guest
thanks tara. i just feel in this case the insurance co. holds all the cards and yes, these bcmh, waivers, board of dd subsidies, grants from my exp. also (and i have asked around a lot) are all income dependent (or dep.on involved medical issues) and we just do not qualify. i feel like i am in checkmate now....i don't have money to hire attorney, appeals will take forever, more stress and diverted energy, only to be ultimately turned down (not many success cases out there) and we cannot afford 100% out of pocket, who can? jake has great repoire with this therapist, it has been 3 plus years and he is and has made progress...i feel as though this is a battle we just cannot win! thanks for your support and honesty!!! lisa In a message dated 2/8/2010 11:56:58 P.M. Unfortunately we haven't had luck with grants and I've applied for dozens upon dozens. United Healthcare also has income limits. We have plenty of visits for speech and OT but our plan has a huge deductible and we pay a percentage of the visit after the deductible is met that varies depending on if they are in network or not. I agree that finding a student is a GREAT idea! We have had success with that. Just be strong! You CAN do it and make it happen. Where there is a will, there is a way. Logan isn't who he is today by coincidence. He had great therapists and a crazy mommy that wouldn't take no for answer. You can do it . ~~Tara~~
