Hello,

My name is Datchuk and I am a doctoral student in Special

Education at Penn State University. I am helping two of my professors,

Drs. Rick Kubina and Pam Wolfe, (http://espse.educ.psu.edu/sped/faculty.php)

conduct research. Drs. Kubina and Wolfe are actively seeking volunteers

for a research project called, Examining the Reliability of the

Communication Responses with the Rapid Prompting Method for Persons

with Autism. You may have seen the Rapid Prompting Method featured on news shows like CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/US/03/28/Tito.autism/index.html

The research project is looking for individuals who:

-have used the Rapid Prompting Method and have received training at Halo

-have been diagnosed as having autism, age 6-17

-are presently using a letter board to communicate

If your child meets this criteria and you are interested in receiving

more information about the study please contact Dr. Kubina or Dr. Wolfe

by email.

They will send you an information packet about the study. They also

welcome any phone calls should you prefer talking to them directly.

Drs. Kubina and Wolfe thank you for considering the research and hope

to hear from you.

You can email Rick Kubina, at rmk11@... or call him at 814-863-2400. You can email Pam Wolfe at psw7@... or call him at 814-863-8002.

Thank you for your consideration,
