Guest guest
Just sharing some info from Grace Church. They are striving to help our families who had loved ones with autism. If you have feed back or helpful suggestions, you could let them know after hearing the webinar. Rich's email is at the bottom to write to. ~ n Through The Roof E-new - Webinar Dear Through The Roof volunteers and families, According to the Autism Society of America, autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life. It results from a neurological disorder that affects development in social interaction and communication. The most common categories within the autism spectrum are: Autistic Disorder Asperger Syndrome PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified) It takes a lot of energy and specialized training to help our children and adults with autism succeed in their school settings and ordinary life. It may feel like a daunting task when it comes to educating our autistic friends at Grace Church. And, indeed, we have at times found it challenging. I’m inviting all the volunteers that help out with the Through The Roof Ministry at Grace to spend about 35 minutes and listen to this webinar produced by Friendship Ministries. It is very informative and it will help all of us understand and minister to our autistic children and adults that come to Take-A-Break and our Sunday morning Friendship Classes. It would be nice to get some feedback from all of you. Please let me know if you think this webinar was helpful or informative. If you think it’s worth your time, I have a few more resources that I think you will find beneficial. rich@...
